Does a contest really bring traffic
If you are surfing the web and happen on to a site that is offering a contest. Do you enter it, does it make you visit the site again. This is the question I have been wondering about this past month. Will a contest have any bearing on traffic and sales? The only thing for sure is that email addresses can be gathered so that a mailing list can be made. To send out announcements of new items posted, of sales, customer discounts. So if you visit a website and enter a contest, what will you expect to get from it as the customer? That your email address will be kept private. That you won't be harassed with emails on a daily basis. That you will receive the promised item. So do contests really work, I think they can be a very good way to increase sales, and good will with customers. But only if the website honors it word. And fulfills its ads. |
