Prayer and faith can move mountains
prI truly believe that prayer and faith can move mountains, but can it change peoples attitudes? My question is related to my son and his ex, my grandsons mom. I love Susan and she has always been good to me. No matter how she and Brad have gotton along she has know she can call me and talk to me about Aeson. She has always been welcome in my home, and except for their last fight and I told her if might be better if she stayed away for a while, she will always be welcome, she is the mother of my grandson and should have that respect given to her. The problem lies with her mother, who has never liked my son. Well the part of the problem goes back even further, and to Susan's childhood. Susan's mom is very religious and has always forced this on Susan's. So when Susan got old enough to rebel boy did she, she isn't the only teen to do this and she wasn't the last but, most of her rebellion had taken place before she met Brad in fact they met on the bus one day and it was just about a week later that her parents put her into rehab. Brad had fallen head over heals in love and was as any other teen distraught as to where she was. I took him over to her house only to be verbally attacked by her dad and blamed for her having to go to rehab. Remind you he at this point has know her for maybe two weeks. But guess it was easy to blame someone else than for them to look to them self's, I don't feel like it was there fault, I have always believed that a parent has responsibility but so does the teen. We are to teach them and they must choose the best path for them. But back to the main story, Susan's parents have never liked Brad for this reason and have never let up on him, but at the same time always trying to press her into religion. Brad can't have a conversation with Susan without her mom yelling in the background (oh it's him again) and even refusing to drop of Aeson at our house, instead down the block. Calling the cops in Brad walks over to talk to Susan, he is allowed on the sidewalk across the street. How can someones heart be turned to Christ and still have so much anger. And so my question again can prayer and faith change someones attitude. I hope and pray so for a innocent child hangs in the balance. Christ accepts us all and loves us all and we are to do nothing less than follow his example.
